School Age

Behavior Packages

School-age kids still have big feelings. They are just better at hiding them, arguing about them, or turning them into a two hour standoff over something that seems completely unreasonable to you and completely non-negotiable to them.

Here is what we can work on together:

  • Understand why your child shuts down, argues, or digs in, and what to actually do about it

  • Put an end to power struggles that leave everyone frustrated and nothing resolved

  • Navigate homework battles, transition meltdowns, and the daily friction that wears you both out

  • Help your child handle disappointment, frustration, and big emotions without it derailing the whole evening

  • Build the kind of relationship where your child comes to you instead of away from you when things get hard

  • Feel confident and prepared for whatever this age throws at you next

The tools you and your child learn will allow you to confidently face any future challenges in a caring, but very effective manner and should you need any touch-ups along the way, additional support is just a phone call away.

Custom Plan for Every Family

Although there are universal developmental truths about toddlers and preschoolers, it is my priority to approach each family where you are, and address your unique situation. This is why I include as part of the package a one to two hour in home or virtual observation to see your exact situation. This allows me to give you specific solutions to make our time together the most productive, empowering, and successful as it can possibly be.

6 Week

School Age Behavior Package

$1,275

Six weeks of individualized, hands-on support for families who are ready to make real changes. We start with a thorough assessment of your child and your dynamic, build a plan that is specific to your family, and work through it together with weekly calls and ongoing support the whole way through.

How it Works

  • After purchasing the package, you will receive a very thorough questionnaire that includes questions about your child and your individual situation.

  • Everyone’s situation and dynamic is different.

You could tell me “My daughter asked for a popsicle and I told her ‘no sweetie, we have to leave in a minute to get your brother’ and then she had a complete meltdown”.

And I’d reply “was she tired, was she sitting upside down in her chair when she asked, was she hanging on your leg, did she ask with exasperation or was she excited, what did the meltdown look like, did she cry, throw herself on the floor, put her face in her hands, how did you reply, did you sound tense?”

You get the idea! Although the solutions to childhood behavior have the same overarching ideas and techniques, the approach has to be specific and take into account your child’s individuality and these details really matter. By observing your child and your interactions and conflicts, I can get a really good idea of what exactly is going on and make a very customized plan for your family.

This observation will be 30-90 minutes, depending on what works best for your family. It is not a visit for correction or real time support, it is purely for observation.

  • This is a 60-90 minute phone, Zoom, or FaceTime consultation.

We will go over what was written in the questionnaire and what was observed during the in-home or virtual observation. We will discuss your family’s plan, with specific examples, and we will make adjustments as needed and address any questions and concerns so you feel completely prepared, empowered, and excited for the next steps.

  • After the consultation, I will send you a very thorough plan which will include a summary of our conversation, a step by step plan for implementing what we discussed, and answers to questions that might arise during this process.

  • With your plan, you get one 20-minute phone call per week throughout the six weeks of the plan, beginning the week after your initial consultation, for a total of 11 calls. Use these for additional support, questions, and celebrating your progress!

  • The package includes eight "oh crap" emails for when something comes up and you need support but cannot wait for your next call. Send your question or concern whenever it hits you and I will respond with a thorough answer within 24 hours.

  • At the end of the six weeks, you will feel prepared and confident to tackle any upcoming bumps in the road with your child.

The 30 minute wrap up call, therefore, is more to go over the previous three weeks, answer any questions, and I’ll give you an extra pep talk because you’ve totally got this!

  • After our closing phone call, I will send a wrap-up email summarizing your family’s goals, what we worked on, decisions we made, and the game plan going forward.

This will be what you will reference if you need a refresher, confidence boost, reminder of your game plan, and to celebrate all of the success you accomplished to create and support a happy, emotionally healthy, confident family!

Send questions, updates, or concerns Monday through Friday and I will respond as soon as possible within 24 hours. This is not a live chat but a dedicated space for the kind of back and forth that an email does not allow — shorter questions, quicker clarifications, and real time updates on how things are going.

  • Six weeks in, you will have already accomplished so much! What the biggest challenges at the start might not even be an issue anymore and this is the perfect time to address what you’d like to tackle next while maintaining the progress made in the first six weeks.

This 45-minute call is where we celebrate how far you and your child have come, talk through what is working and what needs a tweak, and set clear goals for the next six weeks. You wil have made real progress and the best part will still be ahead!

  • After our call, I'll send you an updated plan based on everything we went over together. Six weeks is a long time in kid years! What was the biggest challenge at the start might not even be an issue anymore, and new things have probably come up that we want to tackle next. You will have made real progress and your plan for the home stretch should reflect exactly where you and your child are right now, not where you started.

  • At the end of the three months, you will feel prepared and confident to tackle any upcoming bumps in the road with your child.
